A new concept

With its vast meadows, shaded woodlands, and its columbarium sanctuary, Les Sentiers commémoratifs de la Rivière is a new and elaborate concept which provides an environmental alternative to the services offered by conventional cemeteries. It is first and foremost a natural cemetery reserved exclusively for cinerary urns and commemorations of all kinds.


A living memorial surrounded by nature

Located in the town of Prévost in The Laurentians and bordered by the Riviére du Nord as well as the P' tit train du Nord bike path, Les Sentiers commémoratifs de la Rivière offers you approximately 2 kilometers of nature paths with magnificent views on the Rivière du Nord, ponds and marshland, cascading water as well as a multitude of birds and other animals including a family of Whitetail deer.

What is a natural cemetery?

A natural cemetery’s aim is to ensure the conservation of the environment as well as protection of the territory intended for local inheritance. This green area ensures the final resting place of the remains being deposited.


For whom is this cemetery?

For anyone wishing to deposit ashes. It should be noted that nobody will be deposited within this cemetery - only ashes.
